1.Multimodel Harmonized MRI Imaging Protocol (HARP)
HARP is a protocol for high-precision and high-sensitivity imaging of brain structures and functions using multimodel MRI equipment. It was also able to improve the ability to diagnose mental and neurological disorders, and was built by the BMB Project. HARP has been calibrated to run within a clinically practical time frame (within 22 to 65 minutes) and is a high-quality, high-resolution, standardized protocol.
HARP takes a high spatial resolution structural image (0.8 mm) (approximately 12 minutes) and two sets of functional MRI images in opposite phase directions (approximately 10 minutes in total). In addition, as optional imaging, functional MRI imaging for approximately 20 minutes, diffusion-weighted imaging for approximately 7 to 10 minutes, 3D arterial spin labeling imaging for approximately 3 minutes (Prisma, Skyra, Verio only), quantitative magnetic field inhomogeneity imaging for 5 minutes (Prisma, Skyra only), and fMRI imaging for 4 minutes for performing 2 types of tasks (EMOTION, CARIT) will be carried out.
The equipment and performance requirements for the MRI system to execute HARP are as follows.
1) The static magnetic field strength is 3 tesla.
2) A multi-array head coil with 32 channels or more of radiofrequency reception coils for the head is installed.
3) A multiband EPI sequence provided by the University of Minnesota (Center for Magnetic Resonance Research) or a sequence with equivalent capabilities must be implemented.
